Lately, while scrolling through social media, I came across people creating AI-generated portraits of themselves — placing their own faces in different settings like cafés, weddings, gardens, or the streets of Paris. I was fascinated. And I thought: why shouldn’t I see myself like that too?

So I gave it a try… but it turned out to be more complicated than I expected. My face didn’t look like me, the reference photos I used weren’t quite right, and the tools I tried were limited. I experimented with Kling.ai, ChatGPT, Gemini, Flow, Perplexity — almost everything I could find. Along the way, I even lost the 300–400 credits I had on Kling. Still, I didn’t give up.
Eventually, I managed to generate a few images that at least resemble me or reflect the feeling I was going for.
Maybe they’re not perfect, but they are my first digital versions of myself. And I know I’ll get better. As soon as I’m back home, I’ll take better reference photos with the right lighting and angles.
For now, I’m using the tools I have — yes, ChatGPT is amazing, but also expensive for me at the moment. That’s why I’ll stick with Kling.ai for a while. It’s good enough to build a beautiful digital profile. I’ll create better and better images, and when the time comes, I won’t even need AI — I’ll be ready to capture myself, just as I am.
