Simplifying My Blog, Simplifying My Mind

Minimalism. In recent years, I’ve started to better understand why people move with a minimalist perspective. For months, I’ve been trying to change my blog’s theme and appearance into something I truly like, but it’s so difficult that I just couldn’t manage it. Not having a computer makes it even harder. Building and transforming a website using only a phone is very challenging. I added many different pages, but unfortunately I removed most of them because either they didn’t turn out the way I wanted or I began to see them as unnecessary.

For example:

I used to list scientific research about transgender individuals and quote people who spoke about the topic on YouTube as sources. But I realized that this needed to be more professional, and at the same time I didn’t want my blog to become a debate space, so I removed it.

I had also added a page called “Fashion,” where I wanted to share underwear and lingerie photos that I liked. However, I couldn’t shape it the way I wanted because it required coding knowledge to implement the changes I had in mind, and since I don’t know how to code, I removed that page as well.

I wanted to create a page where my latest social media posts would automatically integrate, but because the design options were very limited, it looked complicated and messy, so I removed that too.

There was a page called “Adriana’s Wings” where I explained the goals of the brand I am trying to build. Later, I turned it into a button that redirects to a page called “Açelya,” where I explain my vision. I also added the page where I briefly talk about myself into the “Açelya” page in the same way.

I opened a page called “Timeline” and wrote everything I remember from my life in a timeline format. Over time, I will organize it better.

As for the homepage, what I originally wanted was to create a structure similar to my Instagram profile. In paid themes, this is actually quite simple. But I use WordPress, and my current plan is the Premium package. In this package, you can’t add custom themes; you can only modify the existing one. Higher-tier packages are very expensive, and I don’t have that kind of money. So I created a very simple design. At the bottom, there is an FAQ section, and above it, I placed a video from my YouTube channel. The main focus is my latest blog posts.

Less Pages.

Currently, the structure is:

♡ Blog
♡ Açelya
♡ Timeline
♡ Contact

This seems sufficient because, after all, it’s called a “Blog.” In this form, it feels more than enough.

In the future, I want to enable personalized profiles for users and allow people to send donations to each other through my blog. In a later stage, I want to transform it into a space where other people can also publish content.

The key point is to earn money regularly on a monthly basis. Once I earn enough to feel financially free each month, I will implement these plans. For now, this feels sufficient.
